The band given made it to the finals of the Countdown-fes amateur contest, and that should feel like a win. It doesn't. They have exactly one original song to play, and the judges will be watching their live set, so one song is not going to cut it. Mafuyu wants to write something new, something that actually means something, and the last person he expects to help him is Ugetsu Murata, the violinist who keeps half-leaving Akihiko and never quite finishes the job. Akihiko is stuck too, pulled between a past he can't drop and a future he hasn't decided he wants. Meanwhile Haruki, the steady one, starts quietly wondering if he even belongs in this band, or if the trust he thought he and Akihiko shared was ever really there. Not every bond survives. Some just leave wreckage behind. So what do you keep when the person you built everything around is already halfway out the door?
