A body runs on alcohol, cigarettes and stress, and every cell inside it pays the price. Red blood cell AA2153 hauls oxygen through clogged, ruined vessels. White blood cell U-1196 cuts down germs in corridors slick with damage. They are new on the job and the job is already a war. Then the walls start cracking. Fat clogs the arteries, pathogens pour in through the gaps, and coworkers AA2153 just met are gone before the shift ends. No reinforcements are coming. The body keeps making worse choices, and the cells keep dying to clean up after them. AA2153 and U-1196 push on anyway, dragging oxygen and swinging blades through a place that is falling apart around them. Nobody up there knows their names. Nobody up there is helping. So how long can a body keep killing its own cells before there is no one left to do the work?
