Aliens show up and give Earth one shot at survival: a randomly picked human has to beat Lum, the chief's gorgeous daughter, in a game of tag. The lucky winner of that lottery is Ataru, a high school guy with zero luck and way too much appetite for trouble. Ten days to grab her horns. One problem. She can fly, she can zap, and she is not going easy on him. So he does the impossible. He catches her off guard and actually gets what he came for, though he grabs her bikini top first, which says everything about him. Earth is saved. Then the twist lands. Lum thinks he grabbed her because he wants to marry her, so she moves into his house and refuses to leave. Now Ataru spends his days dodging a clingy alien bride while begging his childhood friend Shinobu to take him back. Shinobu is not impressed, Lum is not going anywhere, and every escape attempt ends worse than the last. Can a guy this unlucky ever get his old life back?
