One minute he is flipping a pan in his own kitchen, the next a starving girl is sitting on his counter asking for food. Ah Jie is a young cook with real talent, and Dora looks harmless enough. Turns out she is a summoned spirit, a goddess with a sweet face and an appetite to match, and she has decided he is her master. He wants none of it. Not the title, not the glowing companion who follows him around, not any of the nonsense that comes with her. Then he becomes a summoner by pure accident. No ceremony, no choice, just a door closing behind him. Now the spirits, the fights, and the people who want a summoner on their side are all part of his life, and walking away is not on the table. He can keep cooking, but the road ahead is not a kitchen. What does a guy do when the one thing he never asked for is the one thing he cannot give back?
