Episode 8 · The Demon Hunter

The Demon Hunter

Meng Chuan watched his mother die, and from that day on he swung his sword until his hands bled. Revenge was the only thing he wanted. Then his engagement got called off, foreign troops poured across the border, and the sanctuary that was supposed to keep everyone safe fell to the enemy. So much for quiet training. Now Ning City sits in the path of the invasion, and its people have nobody left to stand in front of them. Meng Chuan picks up his blade again, this time not for vengeance but because someone has to hold the line. He swears he will become the strongest. It is a promise that will cost him more than he knows. What does a man become when the thing he trained for his whole life is gone, and something heavier takes its place?
