He was the Sword Emperor, a man whose name once made entire sects go quiet. Then he died. And then he opened his eyes again, smaller, weaker, stuck in a body that had to start from zero. The old techniques are still in his head, though. So he trains. He rebuilds his flesh like a blacksmith hammering raw iron, and every step takes him closer to the power he lost. That is when he notices something wrong. The gods everyone bows to are not what they claim to be. Somebody has been feeding the whole world a lie, and the ones at the top are the ones holding the spoon. He could keep his head down and grow strong in peace. He does not. Instead he goes after the chains themselves. Gods, ancient rules, whatever stands in his way, he plans to break all of it, and the people behind the deception know his face now. Can a reborn swordsman really cut through a lie that old, or is he walking into a trap set long before he was even born?
